Terms Of Service

Alma Mater helps people find and ask for help within their alumni network. These terms cover our website, app and Alma Mater's WhatsApp service. Alma Mater operates this service. Contact: aaryan@aaryanshah.co.in.

Use your own institute email or another account we have expressly approved. Keep your profile accurate, use only information you are entitled to share, and do not impersonate another person or institution. Keep sign-in codes and links private. Access to an institute email helps us check eligibility; it does not mean every profile claim has been independently verified.

Make specific, relevant requests and respect the other person's choice not to respond. Do not spam, harass, discriminate, threaten, mislead people, scrape member information, send bulk requests, distribute malicious software, or bypass access controls. Do not share someone else's private information without permission or post content you do not have the right to use.

You keep your rights in the content you submit. You give Alma Mater permission to store, display and deliver it as needed to operate the features you use, including delivery to the audiences or recipients you select. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Read the Privacy Policy before providing personal information. Accepting a help note or choosing a contact-sharing action can reveal contact information to the other person. Signing out or closing a conversation does not automatically delete its records.

Members decide whether and how to help. Matches, profiles, posts, introductions and referrals are not guarantees of a response, employment, admission, investment, a business deal, or any other result. Check information and make your own decisions before relying on it. An alumni connection is not a substitute for professional advice or independent checks.

Alma Mater is an evolving service. Features may change, be paused, or be unavailable, and errors or interruptions can occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, the accuracy of member content, or the conduct of other members. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibilities or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

We may restrict access or content to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or violations of these terms. If you believe a restriction is mistaken, want to report abuse, or want to request account closure, contact aaryan@aaryanshah.co.in. Closing an account does not necessarily erase every record; the Privacy Policy explains retention and requests.

Links and integrations may take you to services operated by Google, WhatsApp or other providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services.

We may update these terms as the service changes. The current terms and effective date will be available on this page. If a change raises a question for you, contact aaryan@aaryanshah.co.in before continuing to use the service.
